The Department of Child Health and Diseases offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services in a polyclinic specially designed for children and equipped with advanced technology. Thanks to the dedicated section for children in our center, both children and their parents can enjoy a more convenient and comfortable waiting time. The department also features separate diaper changing and breastfeeding rooms.

At Elit Istanbul, babies are monitored from the very beginning of their life in the womb and are followed up with mental-motor development, nutrition, vaccination, and preventive medicine programs after birth. Fever and cough are known to be significant dangers for babies and children. At Elit Istanbul Medical Center, the Department of Child Health and Diseases carefully treats children with fever and coughing. Additionally, to address the issue of poor appetite, which is a major concern for parents, the specialist doctors of both the Department of Child Health and Diseases and the Department of Nutrition work in coordination to prepare special nutrition programs for babies and children.

Healthy Child Tracking:

In the first 1st and 2nd weeks after birth, and in the 0-6th weeks thereafter. Once a month between 6-12 months. Well-child examinations are performed every 2 months between the ages of 1 and 2 months, every 3 months between the ages of 1-2, and every 6 months after the age of 2. In these examinations, the child’s growth (height, weight, head circumference), development and physical examination are evaluated. With these follow-ups, your baby’s vaccinations are carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization and preventive physician consultancy is provided. At the same time, parents are informed by monitoring the physical, social and psychological development of their babies.
