During menopause, which begins with unstable and painful menstrual periods, various changes occur with the decrease in estrogen in the body. The most well-known symptom of menopause is the cessation of menstruation. Menopause, where physical symptoms such as hot flashes, irritability, joint pain, vaginal dryness, forgetfulness, insomnia, palpitations, and constant intense feeling are experienced, is also a psychologically difficult period for women.
Sudden emotional changes, lack of motivation, distraction, depression , anxiety and panic, and concentration disorders during menopause, which women often wait with fear and perceive as the beginning of aging, are among the most common psychological symptoms.
During this period, women are given psychological support by expert psychologists. In the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, where physical changes are closely monitored and treatments are applied that will enable women to go through this period in a healthy and comfortable way, it is aimed to psychologically relieve women of the mental troubles and concerns of menopause. Services are also provided to prevent osteoporosis (bone loss) that develops due to menopause and to reduce its effects on patients.
Genital Area Whitening
In women, the genital area may change color depending on hormones, pregnancy, hair removal techniques used, and medications. This is an annoying situation for the person.
In recent years, color lightening can be done in this area with laser. The color lightening can be around 40%, and if the procedure is generally required in a single session, 2nd and 3rd sessions may be required.
The procedure does not have any serious side effects; the color first darkens and then the skin begins to peel off.
Unfortunately, re-darkening may sometimes occur.
Laser Treatment for Urinary Incontinence Complaints
If it is felt that the vagina is enlarged and there are problems in intercourse, the vagina is narrowed with vaginoplasty surgery.
Laser is an innovation in this regard, and beneficial results are obtained by stimulating all walls with a 20-minute non-surgical procedure.
In cases such as severe enlargement after normal birth or untreated vaginal tears, a surgical procedure, rather than a laser, is more appropriate.
During the laser, a slight stinging, burning and increased temperature are felt in the vagina. There may be a slight pinkish discharge after the procedure. A second application is generally recommended at an interval of 1.5 months.
Laser Treatment for Vaginal Dryness
Vaginal dryness in women may occur during menopause, infections, stress, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Dryness, which is common during menopause, negatively affects sexual life. These complaints can be resolved with laser technology as well as some hormonal treatments.
With the laser, the glands that provide secretion in the vaginal walls are stimulated.
Laser treatment is applied in 1 or 2 sessions for vaginal dryness.
It does not restrict daily life. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes and a slight increase in vaginal temperature is felt. It is recommended to repeat it once a year.
Vaginal Tightening with Laser
